What items does Spanky's take on consignment?
In addition to current furniture and equipment for children and infants, Spanky's
accepts top quality clothing for children, ladies, men, and maternity wear. All clothing
needs to be current in fashion, clean and pressed, and ready for our racks. To save
time and insure that your consignments reach us in the best possible condition, please stack clothing unfolded with no bags or boxes.
What are Spanky's hours?
11:00am - 5:00 - Sunday
9:00am - 8:00pm Monday - Friday
9:00am - 6:00pm - Saturday
Can I bring in as many items of clothing as I want?
Appointments are not necessary. However, we do ask that you bring in no more than 40
items per visit so that they can be processed in a timely manner. Special circumstances? Please call.
Does Spanky's accept any type of clothing?
Spanky's accepts consigned clothing according to season. Just like department
stores, we find that our customers are looking for what their wardrobe needs are NOW... and not 6 months ahead or behind. When you bring us what people want, it
will sell !
What happens to my items that don't sell?
Resale items are consigned for three months. The first
30 days are at full price.
The second month is at 50% markdown. Those items unsold or unclaimed at the end of
60 days, become the property of Spanky's.
How much money do I make?
- Furniture items:
consignor will receive 60% of sale price
- Clothing items priced up
through $39.99: consignor will receive 40%
- Clothing items priced over
$40.00: consignor will receive 50%
Payment can be taken in two ways:
Credit: Sale of your items means instant credit to your Spanky's account which can be
spent anytime in the store.
Check: Consignment checks are ready to be picked up by the 20th of the month. Our
minimum check is $20.00.
A Registration fee of $2.00 per year will be deducted from the first check annually.
How can I consign if I live out of the
Area?
Many of our consignors ship their things to us via UPS. Just be sure to include 4
self-addressed stamped envelopes with your items so that we can mail consignment checks to you as soon as they are prepared. Please note: if for some reason the items
shipped to us for consignment are not accepted, they will be donated to a local charity.
Spanky's will not be responsible for loss due to fire,
theft, or other casualty. |
